Jolly Schnauzers is a state registered Schnauzer breeder specialised in raising pure breed Schnauzer puppies.Our name Jolly comes from our many years of raising this lovely dog breed. We have owned and raised Schnauzers for more than 20 years.This dog breed originated in Germany from the 14th to 16th centuries. The term comes from the German word for “snout” and means colloquially “moustache”, or “whiskered snout”, because of the dog’s distinctively bearded snout. Schnauzers were bred as versatile farm dogs.This dog breed comes in 3 sizes mainly the Miniature(often known as the small or mini schnauzers), the Standard and the Giant. The Schnauzer dog breed is a smart, playful, clownish, and loving dog that thrives on human interaction.They get along well with other pets in the household, but may chase after stray animals.Protective and courageous, the Schnauzer dog is a good candidate for a watchdog and a guard dog. The wiry coats of Schnauzer dogs are low-shedding but high-maintenance. As athletic working dogs, they require extensive daily exercise to wear them out. They have an average lifespan of 12–16 years. We breed both Miniature and Standard Schnauzers. We understand some people have little or no knowledge about the Schnauzer dog breed but may like to own one. ABOUT MINIATURE SCHNAUZERS
The Miniature Schnauzer, the smallest of the three Schnauzer breeds, it is a generally healthy, long-lived, and low-shedding companion. They have an outgoing personality, a portable size, and sporty good looks, and you’ve got an ideal family dog. Stocky, robust little dogs standing 12 to 14 inches, Miniature Schnauzers were bred down from their larger cousins, Standard Schnauzers. The bushy beard and eyebrows give Minis a charming, human-like expression. The hard, wiry coat comes in three color patterns: salt and pepper, black and silver, and solid black. Created to be all-around farm dogs and ratters, they are tough, muscular, and fearless without being aggressive. The Miniature Schnauzer is a bright, friendly, trainable companion, small enough to adapt to apartment life but tireless enough to patrol acres of farmland. They get along well with other animals and kids. Minis are sturdy little guys and enjoy vigorous play. Home and family oriented, they make great watchdogs.
ABOUT OUR STANDARD SCHNAUZERS
They are the oldest of the Schnauzer dog group family.The bold, bewhiskered Standard Schnauzer is a high-spirited farm dog from Germany. They are the sometimes-willful but ever reliable medium-sized members of the Schnauzer dog family group. The Standard’s sporty look is a canine classic. A medium-size dog weighing between 35 and 45 pounds, the Standard Schnauzer is truly the standard Schnauzer: larger than Miniatures, smaller than Giants. Schnauzers of all three sizes share several breed hallmarks: a wiry, tight-fitting coat of pure black or ‘pepper and salt’; a robust, square-built frame; and an elongated head furnished with arched eyebrows and bristly whiskers, framing eyes gleaming with keen intelligence. Standards are sociable companions, alert watchdogs, enthusiastic backyard squirrel chasers, and are good with kids and protective of loved ones. Approached with a firm but gentle hand, Standards train beautifully. Owners must provide outlets for their dog’s upbeat athleticism and highly developed senses.Although they can be somewhat territorial and stubborn, dogs of this breed also have high intelligence and energy. Thanks for visiting our website. I am called David Athena. The Athena’s family are the owners of Jolly Schnauzers.My wife and I are pet lovers so we took up the initiative to breed these lovely dog breed to satisfy the needs of families who will want to own or add a new member to their family. My knowledge about the Schnauzer has grown as the years go by as they are a dog breed that are very smart and make us to learn new things everyday. My history with owning a puppy goes right back to my Christmas holidays when I was 10 years old. My parents bought me a lovely mini Schnauzer puppy which I named Liam. Liam gave me a lot of childhood memories when I was growing as a teen. He was more than a best friend to me. He was so lovely and friendly. Each time I got angry back then about something, Liam was always there to console me and make me smile again. I always thought he could talk as he understood me so much. I always speak to him at times hoping he will respond. Everywhere I went to,Liam was with me. I met my wife in college.We were very good friends back then. She loved Liam until she insisted her parents should get her a Schnauzer.That was how our love for this lovely dog breed grew up.Our dogs use to play together.Unfortunately in our later years at college, I lost my lovely puppy Liam. We grew up loving each other so much and loving this dog breed. Later on, we got married and with our love for Schnauzers, we decided to breed and raise this dog breed and why not educate puppy lovers about the importance of owning a Schnauzer puppy. Fast forward to today, we breed this lovely dog breed in our 3 acres of land where our puppies have enough space to play around. My family and I are dedicated to help everyone own the perfect, healthy puppy for their home. With our knowledge of this dog breed from childhood, we will say schnauzers are the best dogs to own.
